As well as teaching at wonderful wild Rose 2,3 x a week I will now be teaching at another yoga studio in Chiang Mai called 'Namo' , teaching 3 x a week. http://www.namochiangmai.com/. Also I will be teaching at 'The Spa Chiang Mai' 2, 3 x a week, it is a bit of a drive out of the city on my Fino

for 50 mins but being in the country in surrounded by rice fields is really nice! http://www.thespachiangmai.com/

So I am so happy that I am going to be teaching alot & learning alot from my students again. I will also be fitting days in to go climbing. Mon & tues & Thurs this week I've been climbing with a Kat a girl I met through the climbing shop. She has been teaching me to lead climb instead of been on top rope, I just love it! It is also a bit of a drive, an hour out of town but it's worth it to climb out doors!

I am also going to start learning more Thai massage on a weekly basis!! Life has suddenly got busy but in an amazing way, every day filled with doing the things I love!!

First classes at Wildrose ... www.wildroseyoga.org

I feel so privaledged to return to Wildrose studio in Chiang Mai. It's such a beautiful space with wonderful people who go there. My first class was a benefit class for Art2Healing a charity that helps empower women who have been victims of sex trafficking. The focus of the class was to practice from our hearts & offer out support & love to the rest of the world. It was a small but lovely group of people who stayed with the practice despite it been a particularly hot day! 3 hours seemed to go so quickly & as usual I felt like I ran out of time to cover everything I had planned!

Check out the classes at Wild Rose & to see all the other wonderful things going on there :-
My next workshop is "Yoga for Freedom"!!

Return to Chiang Mai Nov 6th.....

There is a kind of magic about Chiang Mai that seems unexplainable, things just seem to fit into place here. Before i arrived gorgeous Rose (www.wildroseyoga.org) invited me back to teach at her studio. If that wasnt enough being the wonderful connector that she is, she put me intouch with a couple (Kate & Paul) who wanted a house mate. They had found a wonderful house in Chiang Mai & they needed a house mate, me!! Yippee!! They met me from the airport & took me to my new home, wow its huge & such a lovely space, or collection of spaces with a balcony with a hammock, a wonderful tropical garden with banana trees, papaya, sweet basil, chillis etc etc. I am still in a state of shock that things have worked out so well. Also lovely Lawrence who lives in Chiang Mai but is away until January left me her scooter to ride! Although I enjoyed my summer of fun, its nice to have a base & no that i am staying in a wonderful place for the next 3 months.

Since i arrived on 8th Nov, i have had the strongest & most painful massage ever, I will see the benefits though now that blocked energy has been moved! Ive had 2 steam, saunas, been to a wonderful temple for organic vege food, practiced in 3 diff places in the house, eaten homemade dahl & naam made by Paul & cooked butternut squash, ginger & chilli soup! Also not forgetting alot of sleeping & chilling in the hammock reading Shanteram!!!

Life here is so much slower, I know when i arrived back in the UK i was super chilled however by the time I left I was zipping up & down the country between London & leeds & really not giving myself permission to stop. For some reason i always felt the need to visit as many people as possible in the short time I had in either city. This does not bode well for a relaxing life! So I am now making up for this in Chiang Mai by spending alot of time in the house staying put & no longer racing around to do do do........

"The flowers are blooming with the exultation of your Spirit." - Rumi

1 Year since leaving Cisco & life has exceeded my expectations....

October is a beuatiful month in the UK, the leaves are changing, the skys are blue & there is a chill in the air, time to dig out your wooly's! If you really start to look England is wonderful at this time of year. I have enjoyed my time in London where I have become a massive fan of the so called Borris bikes (bikes that you pick up & put down at drop off points all over london) & also ive had a lovely time in the north, in Leeds & the surrounding area.

I cannot believe how fast the last year has flown by, ive had so many adventures in different countries & places but also about myself. I took a risk & jumped off the corporate ladder a year ago & with a little self believe, trust & opening myself up to the flow of grace, things have worked out way better than I could have imagined. The little bit of fear that I had that I wouldn't be able to survive without Cisco quickly got squashed by my desire for something greater. To live life as if each day were my last & full fill my dream to teach & be of service to the world. I have met the most amazing people who have connected me to more amazing people & helped guide me on my path. I feel as usual so privaledged & greatful to everyone who has supported me on my way.

As Rumi a famous poet said "Let the beauty of what you love, be what you do"

Corsica Sept 2010 Yoga photos

MOre to be added...

My Summer of fun in Europe..... June 17th - Nov 17th...

Over the summer Ive neglected my blog, so I now have alot to catch up on! Where to begin.. I had a wonderful time at home with my family, friends & exploring Europe.

Some of the highlights

- Seeing Krishna Das in UK & Barcelona
- Family fun, especially meeting Willow a proper little mini person now! & meeting all my friends & cousins kids!
- Chilled week in South of France, Provence, wine tasting etc.
- The Big Chill
- Electric Elephant, so much fun in the sun & just gets better every year.
- Corsica, beautiful villa with my best friends teaching yoga, giving massages & eating lovely home cooked food, as well as hiking up a mountain & having to do a bit of off piste ing!!!
- Yoga groove festival
- Junip gig at hyde park social club1!!
- Hanging out with mi friends in Leeds & London!
- Camping & hiking in the Lakes.
- LCD Sound Systems gig at the roundhouse!
- Teaching yogs in Hyde Park & Meanwood Park (my fav park in Leeds)!
- Teaching workshops with Arianna in London & Mancs & generally teaching when I could & giving Thai yoga massages!
- Assisting & doing lots of Bridget Woods Kramers Classes , she really is such an inspiration.

As soon as I arrived into the UK, I was able to see Krishna Das in London, who was truly amazing . Then I had a fun couple of weeks with my sis (Julia), Dan & Willow my niece who were visiting from Vancouver. We were blessed with the best weather the UK has seen in June for years I think. We had about 10 days straight of blazing sunshine & people even began to say it was too hot! We were able to go to the coast, play in lots of parks & generally bask in the sun.

After 3 weeks at home I had slightly itchy feet & so jumped at the chance to go to Barcelona for my Birthday to see Krishna Das again. I love Barcelona, its definitely in my top 2 cities, competing hard with Chiang Mai. KD was even more amazing in Barcelona than in the UK, the Spanish were much more open & free & there was a fiesta atmosphere! I met some of the wonderful Spanish Anusara Kula (Community) who i practised, ate & chanted with. A friend who I had met in Chiang Mai took me to some beaches an hour from the city & took me to a beautiful yoga studio up in the hills where I experienced another beautiful kirtan session. They had a hang, a wonderful instrument that reminds me of 2 woks stuck together!

From Barcelona I caught the train to Avignon in the South of France. I was very impressed with the trains in Spain & France. I set off around 10am from Barcelona city & arrived around 4pm in France. The journey was very smooth & the connections were great, hardly any waiting time between the trains. In spain the trains were so cheap compared to the UK. I think I did the whole journey for £40, when you think you are lucky to get from Manchester to London for that, I was v.impressed.

I had arranged to go to stay with my friends in a farmhouse in Provence, surrounded by vinyards. We all had a v.relaxing week hanging out in the house, cooking & eating beautiful food, drinking wine from the local area, gorge walking & doing a little site seeing. It is a v. peaceful & beautiful part of the world. Every morning I would cycle down the hill to the patisserie to pick up breakfast for us, croissants etc. I even managed to teach them a yoga class outside & obviously I spent a fair bit of time practising. We all travelled back to London together in the car, although it took a day it was actually a really good way to travel by car via the chunnel to France!

I spent some time then in London & then Leeds before heading for the festival "The BiG Chill" at beginning of Aug. As always i had fun with my friends & enjoyed camping & dancing but I dont think I would return again. 3 years in a row is enough for this festival & i dont know if i am getting older but it did seem to be full of 17year olds! Never mind we still had fun & the weather managed to hold out without any rain.

At the end of Aug I went to Croatia for the Electric Elephant festival. This been my 3rd year in a row to go to this festival & it did not disappoint! It just gets more & more fun each year. Me & Butts arrive early to begin the week very chilled, swimming in the sea & reading our books & lots of early nights. By the time the festival starts we are ready to start the Fri eve on a boat party. As only 250 people can get on the boats the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone loving being on hols in the sun & listening to fantastic music on a boat! 3 nights in a row we watched the sunsets from the boats, this year I thought that the Lowlife djs music was my fav, Unibombers also rocked as always! If at all possible I would go back again next year!

After a very short amount of time back in London, I was then lucky enough to go out to Corsica for a chilled week in an amazing villa on top of a hill. It had a beautiful swimming pool with a panoramic view of the sea all around. It was great to be with my best friends, teach yoga each morning & each day give a thai yoga massage to one of them. It was nice to have a lovely place to hang out & cook & eat wonderful food! Photos on next post!!...

I had a wonderful time zipping off to all these gorgeous places however I did feel the need to be in one place for a while, so I decided to remain in the UK for the remainder of Sept & Oct. I went camping & hiking out in the Lakes & the Yorkshire dales which was lush, paying attention to the change in season made England a wonderful place to be in Oct. The leaves were so bright & beautiful colours, the skies not always so blue but this meant the colours of the leaves were much more vivid. It was time to start wearing jumpers but not too cold at this point! I was happy to be there & see the change in season, October in England is a good month!
